If you're like me, you have explored all modalities of fitness, loving some more than others. What I've found gets me going is variety; yoga, spinning, step aerobics, marathons, crossfit, weight lifting. Most recently is the activity of the climbing wall.
Being active has been a huge part of our family life, we have travelled a lot and there is almost always an adventure; be it a family hike, indoor play parks or a fun run. I have also been privileged to be involved in coaching high school athletes and love giving back to the sports.
Trevor is a firm believer in sharing what he know. Life challenges everyone a little differently. Giving us all unique opportunities to gain knowledge and experience.
Trevor has been an elite athlete for more than half his life, competing at all three major games.
Jared has been a life long athlete and competitor. A standout athlete at Magrath High School in Southern Alberta, in both volleyball and basketball.
After grade 12, Jared went on to play college basketball in Edmonton at Grant MacEwan. The team won the ACAC Championship and took home a bronze medal at Nationals.

Landing at the YMCA in 2019, Dallas found a love for the outdoors, running Camp Elkwater and the High Ropes course, along with managing the two facilities and teaching various classes for the YMCA. Jessie was a mom of three active kids when she decided she wanted to improve her health and fitness. That was just over 10 years now. Looking for a workout that left challenged and feeling stronger, she found her love for Crossfit and high-intensity workouts.
Now a trainer for the last 8 years, Jessie finds so much satisfaction and happiness bringing that same love to her clients. In group classes or private training, it is one of her greatest passions to see her clients set goals, improve and achieve things they never thought they could.
Kaylee grew up in a small village in southern Alberta. They didn't have very many amenities let alone a gym, and she didn't take her first group fitness class until her second year of college, and she didn't go back for a long time. Years later after she had her third child, she got invited to do a HIGH Fitness class. She felt confused and a little silly, but after leaving that room, she couldn't stop thinking about it. It felt so good and she knew she had to go back.
Mel grew up training, competing and performing in multiple disciplines of dance in lower mainland, BC. She started teaching dance classes while getting her BScN Degree from Queen's University in Kingston, ON.
Mel now has 6 certificates in Ballet Barre Fitness: levels 1, 2 and 3, Stretch and Tone Barre, Pre and Post Natal Barre, and Ballerobica. After being introduced to Pound fitness, she obtained her certification in that too. She loves the group fitness atmosphere, good music, and seeing all the familiar, friendly faces at class. She hopes you might too!

Sean was born and raised in Medicine Hat and after working as a journeyman electrician for a number of years, he found his true calling in fitness. He was certified as a level 1 coach in CrossFit 5 years ago and the rest is history. Sean has continued to study and learn since then, acquiring his Personal Trainer certificate from CanFitPro as well as a number of other courses including Spin, Moveball, and Olympic Weightlifting.
Gabrielle was introduced to Crossfit at age 14. Her family was very fitness/health oriented.
Her love for Crossfit, and being a 'people person' drove her to take the AFLCA Resistance Trainer course so that she could pursue coaching Crossfit/strength training classes.
In her pursuit of a healthier lifestyle and striving to educate the community, she completed her certification for Holistic Nutrition. She believe that good nutrition and exercise improve the function of the whole body in every way!
Patsy started coaching about 10 years ago. The moment she was introduced to CrossFit, she was instantly hooked.
Soon after, she started coaching Crossfit at Badlands as a Level 1 xfit instructor. She's taken additional training in gymnastics, nutrition, mobility, weight lifting, and dumb bell to name a few. She also has Power Athlete training and Opex Programming: Movement.

...when I showed up for my first workout, everyone was so friendly. They all welcomed me and I didn't feel intimidated by anyone else I was working out with. I didn't feel like they were judging me at all. They always made sure that I knew what I was supposed to be doing and how to do it properly.
